Pool Pro

Pool Pro has been removed from the Google Play Store. I was the sole developer of Pool Pro and it was only a part time job for me. Due to hours required at my full time job I can not keep the application updated like it should be. I didn't want anyone else to have their business depend on an outdated application. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  1. So fare i love this program. It has helped me so much. I have one question for you. How do you delete customers that you dont want?

  2. While the customer list is displayed, long press on the customer name. A pop-up menu will be displayed with a delete option. Email me if you have questions.

  3. We have 4 pool cleaners in our company. Our greatest concern is tracking chemical consumption by individual pool and having that information available for some meaningful analysis of all 4 cleaners in one location.
i.e. can their individual info be sent to a desktop?
It looks like this product holds the greatest promise for us. One more thing ... Five dollars?! This is really valuable stuff to us if it works - way more than $5.

    Thanks,

    1. It does not output data at this point. But it should be something I could do in a future release. It's pretty easy to output a comma delimited file, which can then be opened in Excel. I'd need more details.

Have you tried the app? If not, there's a free 10 day trial version. I think we could have a better discussion after you get familiar with how it works now.

You can contact me a rwillis1680.poolpro@gmail.com.

    1. If you have the latest version, there's an option on the main screen to Export Data. On the latest version, it exports maintenance and supplies only. But I'm about to release a new version that will allow you to export the pool tests as well.

Just FYI - On the Pool Pro main screen, if you press the phone's menu button, there's an option to Contact Support. That's the best way to get a quick answer.

      Thanks,
      Ronnie

    1. No, sorry there is no desktop interface. It does allow you to load your customers into an Excel file on a PC and then import the Excel file into Pool Pro.t

  6. Hello Mr. John,
I am using your software. I have a pool that is 50,000 gallons. The free chlorine is 3.94, total chlorine is 4.47, Cyanuric is 100, and combined chlorine is .53. The recommendation is 30.1 pounds of Dichlor.
Any reason why it's doing that?

    Thank you

    1. The problem is the high Cyanuric (CYA) reading. As CYA becomes higher, chlorine becomes less effective. As a confirmation of my app's calculations, refer to the chart here;

      http://www.troublefreepool.com/content/128-chlorine-cya-chart-slam-shock

It shows a pool with a CYA reading of 100 needs a free chlorine level of 12 PPM in order to properly sanitize the pool. But raising the PPM to 12 isn't the correct path to take. You need to lower the CYA.

If you look at my results screen under the CYA section it suggests replacing 70% of the water in order to bring the CYA level down. Replacing the water is the only way I know to reduce CYA.

FYI - On the Pool Pro main screen, if you press the menu button (may appear as three vertical dots, or your phone may have a built in menu button), there's an option to contact support. Or just email me at rwillis1680.PoolPro@gmail.com

    1. I'm Sorry, but I've removed it from the app store. I was the sole support for Pool Pro and I have a full time job and haven't been able to make any improvements in a long time. I didn't feel comfortable selling it any more as I didn't want anyone running their business in an unsupported app. I need to take this blog down.
